Skadi 300™ RTK GNSS Receiver
Robust RTK Accuracy with the Flexibility of the Skadi Series™
The Skadi 300™ is an extremely accurate and robust RTK GNSS receiver from Eos Positioning Systems. The Skadi 300 supports all GNSS constellations, triple-frequency, and most GNSS signals, allowing the Skadi 300 to provide a unique blend of accuracy, performance, and efficiency in the field. The Skadi 300 can work with any RTK network, CORS network, RTK base station, SBAS, and subscription Atlas® correction services with the Skadi 300. It also features the SafeRTK® technology, which enables the Skadi 300 to retain its accuracy even in areas with poor cellular coverage and physical obstructions.
The Skadi 300 is device agnostic and can work any iOS®, Android™, or Windows® mobile device via Bluetooth connectivity.
In addition to the accuracy and performance features expected from an Eos Positioning Systems hardware, the Skadi 300 includes additional advanced mapping capabilities available only in the Skadi Series product line, including Skadi Tilt Compensation™, enabling more productive data capture by not having to ‘bubble-level’ your range pole before every shot.
The Skadi 300 also includes an integrated antenna and hot-swappable battery, allowing all-day work, and can easily accommodate a variety of field mounting configurations (e.g., handheld setup, range pole, backpack.)
Moreover, the Skadi Standard Handle™ can be upgraded to the Skadi Smart Handle™, which including the Invisible Range Pole™ for continuous elevations to the ground and the Extensible Virtual Range Pole™ for remotely capturing short-distance assets on the ground and in trenches. Providing even further productivity and safety.
Use with any Differential Correction Source
RTK Network & Base Station
The Skadi 300 can provide 1 cm horizontal and 2 cm vertical accuracy with the use of any RTK network or local base station. As a failsafe, the Skadi 300 will automatically utilize the SafeRTK features, should you temporarily lose connectivity to your corrections source. SafeRTK helps temporarily retain the corrected accuracy level, giving the unit time to regain its RTK connectivity.
Atlas® Service
If RTK is not available and Galileo HAS is not accurate enough, the Skadi 300 can also utilize the Atlas subscription service, available from Eos. The Atlas subscription service features several tiers depending on your needs: [H10: (4 cm)]; [H30: (15 cm)]; and [Basic H50: (30 cm)].
SBAS
By default, the Skadi 300 will provide 40-60 cm accuracy via the free Satellite Based Augmentation Systems (SBAS). This gives you real-time submeter accuracy anywhere worldwide where a free SBAS is available.
Skadi 300 Puts RTK In Your Hand™ with Advanced Mapping Features
In addition to featuring an integrated antenna and hot-swappable batteries, the Skadi 300 also supports the Skadi Tilt Compensation™ and Skadi Smart Handle™ (an optional upgrade from the included Skadi Standard Handle™).
Skadi Tilt Compensation™
When activated, the Skadi Tilt Compensation eliminates the need to level your antenna while capturing RTK-accurate data collection with a range pole. Skadi Tilt Compensation can self-level the phase center of the Skadi’s antenna while introducing minimal variance (only 0.3 mm (.01 inch) of inaccuracy per degree of tilt).
Skadi Smart Handle™
The Skadi Smart Handle is a physical upgrade to Skadi Standard Handle (included). The Smart Handle features two exciting and powerful features:
- • Invisible Range Pole™
- • Extensible Virtual Range Pole™
Invisible Range Pole
The Invisible Range Pole is an exciting and innovative new technology that brings the accuracy benefits of a traditional range pole without the cumbersome nature and physical weight of a pole. The Invisible Range Pole features a virtual gimbal that allows the receiver to be kept plumb to the ground.
Whether you’re raising, lowering, or tilting the receiver, the distance to the ground is being continuously computed thanks to the powerful combination of LiDAR and micro-electromechanical systems (MEMS) technologies.
Extensible Virtual Range Pole™
This exciting and innovative feature allows you to extend the reach of your data collection beyond the position you physically occupy. Using a built-in green laser pointer, now you can “shoot” short-distance assets on the ground while retaining high accuracy. This is particularly useful for assets in trenches and similar environments. The Extensible Virtual Range Pole has an approximate range of about seven meters (23 feet) in bright sunlight conditions (performance may vary based on target reflectivity).
The Future of High-Accuracy Mapping
Everything in One Receiver
Survey-Grade RTK Accuracy
The Skadi 300 provides centimeter-level accuracy when connected to an RTK network or base station and decimeter-level or better accuracy when connected to Galileo HAS or Atlas® satellite service.
Skadi Tilt Compensation™
The Skadi 300 may be purchased with optional Skadi Tilt Compensation™. Tilt compensation boosts your field productivity by allowing you to capture points without having to level your survey range pole.
Advanced Mapping Features
The Skadi 300 may be purchased with an optional Skadi Smart Handle™ upgrade. The Skadi Smart Handle offers two powerful RTK features. First, the Invisible Range Pole™ acts like a plumb for continuous ground-elevation measurements. Second, an Extensible Virtual Range Pole™ lets you shoot ground assets around you and in trenches.
