Survey Equipment
Sales Consultant
For the salesperson who knows this equipment cold — or the field surveyor ready to trade the truck for a desk. Either way, you already speak the language.
The Honest Pitch
We sell engineering-grade geospatial equipment to people who use it for a living — surveyors, GIS teams, engineers, hydrographic crews, municipalities, and utilities. Our customers are technical. They ask hard questions, and they can tell in about thirty seconds whether the person across from them has actually run the gear or is just reading off a spec sheet.
That's why we're looking for one of two kinds of people: someone who already sells this category of equipment, or a field surveyor who knows it inside out and is ready to come off the field.
If you've spent years running RTK rovers, collecting bathymetry, or scanning with LiDAR — and you're starting to think about a role with no weather days, no early crew calls, and no physical wear on your body — this is the desk you've been thinking about. And if you're already a strong equipment salesperson in this space, you'll find a focused team and a product line worth getting behind.
The Equipment Segments
You need deep, hands-on knowledge of at least one of these segments. Strength in more than one is a real advantage — and a fast track here.
GNSS receivers, RTK rovers, base stations, high-accuracy positioning systems
Echosounders (SBES/MBES), side-scan, sub-bottom, USV/ASV survey platforms
Handheld SLAM, mobile mapping, terrestrial & UAV scanners, point cloud capture
Who You Might Be
Your current title probably looks something like one of these:
Already selling GNSS, survey, hydrographic, or LiDAR instruments and looking for a sharper product line and a more focused team
Running GNSS, RTK, and total stations in the field, managing crew, ready to put that knowledge to work from a desk
Running sonar and bathymetry on launches or USVs, processing data, off-the-water and ready for what's next
Operating handheld or vehicle-mounted scanners, managing point cloud pipelines and deliverables
If you're coming from the field, you don't need a sales background. You need to know what it feels like to run this equipment in real conditions — and to talk through that experience with customers who are in the shoes you used to be in.
What the Role Looks Like
Whether you're moving off the field or already in sales, here's what the day-to-day shifts toward:
- Consultative conversations with technical buyers — matching the right gear to the job, not pushing a catalog
- Product demos, quotes, and follow-through on accounts across your region
- Full product onboarding — we get you up to speed on anything you don't already know
- An office-based role at one of our locations, with no weather days and no physical wear
- Direct access to leadership and real input on how we grow the line
What stays the same: the technical conversations, the problem-solving, the equipment knowledge. You're not becoming a stranger to the work — you're becoming the resource for the people still doing it.
