Open Positions at AGS
Two consultant roles. Both for experienced field technicians ready for what's next. Choose the role that matches your background.
Echosounders, side-scan, sub-bottom, USV/ASV platforms. For hydrographic surveyors, dredging techs, and reservoir specialists.
RTK GNSS, mapping UAVs, handheld and mobile LiDAR. For survey techs, drone operators, and mobile mapping specialists.
Bathymetry
Consultant
You've spent years on the water collecting bathymetric data.
Now let's talk about what's next.
The Honest Pitch
We're not looking for someone who learned to sell and then learned the gear. We're looking for the opposite — someone who knows the gear and is ready to do something different with that knowledge.
If you've spent years running sonar, processing bathymetry, or operating survey launches and unmanned vessels — and you're starting to think about getting off the water — this was written for you.
At AGS (Anatum GeoMobile Solutions), we sell engineering-grade hydrographic and bathymetric equipment to hydrographic surveyors, dredging contractors, port authorities, USACE district survey crews, reservoir and dam operators, and engineering firms. Our customers are technical. They ask hard questions. They can tell the difference between someone who has actually used the equipment and someone reading off a spec sheet.
That's why we hire from the field. It's worked for us since day one.
The Equipment Segments
You don't need to know all three. Deep expertise in one segment is enough to get started.
Single-beam (SBES) & multibeam (MBES) bathymetric systems
Seabed imaging, hazard detection, sediment profiling
Unmanned survey vessels, autonomous bathymetry, mission planning
Who You Might Be
Your current title probably looks something like one of these:
Running MBES or SBES on launches, coordinating crew, managing data on coastal or inland projects
Pre- and post-dredge bathymetry, volumetric calculations, working alongside contractors and inspectors
Operating unmanned survey vessels, mission planning, autonomous data collection in shallow or restricted water
Reservoir capacity surveys, river bathymetry, dam and spillway proximity work, sediment monitoring
You don't need a sales background. You need to know what it feels like to run this equipment in real conditions — current, weather, debris, tight channels — and be able to talk through that experience with customers who are in the same shoes you were.
The Transition
Here's what shifts when you move into this role:
- No more weather windows, mobilizations, or long days on the water away from home
- You're still talking sonar, water column, mission planning, and survey scenarios — just from the other side
- You set your schedule and own your territory
- Your income grows with your results — no ceiling on commission
- You become the resource for people still doing the work you know cold
What stays the same: the technical conversations, the problem-solving, the equipment knowledge. You're not becoming a stranger to the work — you're becoming a resource for the people still doing it.
Compensation & Structure
About AGS
AGS — operating as Anatum GeoMobile Solutions — is a national dealer of engineering-grade geospatial equipment. We are an authorized Esri Business Partner and authorized dealer for Eos Positioning, Xgrids, Laser Tech, and CHC Navigation, serving surveyors, GPS mappers, GIS professionals, engineers, municipalities, utilities, and field teams since 2014.
As we expand our hydrographic and bathymetric line — including the CHC Navigation Apache series of unmanned survey vessels — we're looking to bring on someone with deep field experience to lead this segment. You won't be lost in a corporate structure. You'll have direct access to leadership and real input on how we grow.
Ready to Talk?
No formal application required. Send a note introducing yourself — your background, the equipment you've worked with, and why you're thinking about a change.
