AGS is Now Carrying the CHCNAV Apache Pro Series of USVs

Hydrographic and bathymetric work has always come with the same tough question: how do you get accurate depth and flow data in places a crewed boat shouldn't go and how do you do it without sending people into the water to get it?

That's exactly the problem the CHC Navigation (CHCNAV) Apache Pro Series is built to solve, and we're excited to announce that Anatum GeoMobile Solutions is now an authorized U.S. reseller for both the Apache 3 Pro and Apache 4 Pro Unmanned Surface Vessels (USVs).

One vehicle. One operator. A day's worth of data  collected safely from the shore.

CHCNAV Apache 3 Pro

The Single-Operator Bathymetric Workhorse

The Apache 3 Pro is the one you reach for when you need to get in, get the data, and get out — fast. It's small enough to fit in the back of a truck, light enough for one person to deploy off a bank or a boat ramp, and smart enough to run a planned survey route on its own while you monitor everything from a tablet.

Where Apache 3 Pro Earns Its Keep

  • Reservoir and pond volume surveys — Run the perimeter, fill in the grid, export the dataset. What used to take a half-day in a small boat happens in an afternoon with one person.

  • River channel mapping and pre-/post-dredge surveys — Get under bridges and into shallow side channels that crewed vessels can't safely navigate.

  • Dam and hydropower inspections — Map the toe of a dam or the bottom of an intake structure without putting a boat (or a diver) at risk.

  • Emergency and post-storm assessments — Drop it in a flooded culvert, a debris-filled channel, or a damaged retention pond and get answers within the hour.

Who's Going to Love the Apache 3 Pro

Surveying firms doing utility and infrastructure work near water, municipal stormwater and public works teams, dam safety inspectors, environmental consultants, and any operator who's tired of trailering a johnboat for a 30-minute job. If you've ever wished you could survey a pond without two people and a truck-and-trailer rig — this is that tool.

CHCNAV Apache 4 Pro

The Multi-Sensor Hydrographic Platform

multibeam bathymetry, side-scan imagery, or water-quality data on the same mission — the Apache 4 Pro is the platform that scales with you.

It carries up to 50 kg through a 24 cm central access shaft, which means it plays nicely with the ADCPs you probably already own (Teledyne RDI RiverPro, RiverRay, RioGrande, SonTek M9, and CHCNAV's RiverStar), and it bolts up directly to the CHCNAV HQ-400 compact multibeam echosounder for full-coverage bathymetry. Drop in a side-scan sonar, a water-quality probe, or a sampling bucket and run all three mission types from the same controller.

Where Apache 4 Pro Earns Its Keep

  • Hydrological flow studies and discharge measurements — Use it as an ADCP platform for cross-section flow work in rivers where wading is dangerous or impossible.

  • Multibeam bathymetry of harbors, marinas, and large reservoirs — Full-coverage data without the cost of a survey launch and a two-person crew.

  • Dredging contractor pre- and post-work surveys — Document volume removed, prove compliance, get paid faster.

  • Water resource and environmental monitoring — Combine bathymetry, flow, and water quality on a single deployment.

  • Flood-event response and damage assessment — Get a multi-sensor picture of a changed waterway within hours of access.

Who's Going to Love This

Hydrologists, water-resource agencies, USACE contractors, dredging firms, port and harbor authorities, large engineering consultancies, and university research teams. If your work spans more than one sensor type, the Apache 4 Pro means one boat, one workflow, and one set of training instead of three.

Apache 3 Pro or Apache 4 Pro — Which One Is for You?

Apache 3 Pro

Apache 3 Pro

If you're doing single-beam bathymetry on smaller, shallower water bodies and portability matters most— Apache 3 Pro.

• 35 kg Maximum Payload Capacity

• 10 h Battery Endurance @ 1.5 m/s

• 10 MPa Hull Strength — IP67 Waterproof

• 10 cm Static Draft • 7 m/s Maximum Speed

• 1 km Radio / Unlimited 4G Control Range

• 6 kg Hull Weight — Single-Operator Deployment

Apache 4 Pro

If you need to carry an ADCP, a multibeam, side-scan, or water-quality sensors — or you want one platform that can do all of the above — Apache 4 Pro.

• 50 kg Maximum Payload Capacity

• 9.8 h Battery Endurance @ 1.5 m/s

• 10 MPa Hull Strength — IP67 Waterproof

• 8.6 cm Draft (Unladen) • 6.5 m/s Maximum Speed

• 1 km Radio / Unlimited 4G Control Range

• 24 cm Central Access Shaft

Both run the same 10-inch Android remote controller and the same EasySail app, so a crew that learns one can run the other. Both give you about a full workday of runtime on a battery set, with hot-swap support to keep you on the water. And both are backed by AGS's lifetime technical support, in-house training, and rental program — so you can try before you buy, or scale up for a single big project.
