Survey-grade point clouds, textured meshes and photoreal 3D Gaussian Splatting from a single walkthrough, with RTK built into the body.
Walk the site at a normal pace. The L3 fuses LiDAR, three cameras, an IMU and GNSS into one trajectory, then produces every output you need from that same capture.
Measurable geometry for as-builts, Scan-to-BIM and topographic work. Opens directly in Autodesk ReCap, Revit and Civil 3D.
Solid, photo-textured models for design review, GIS scenes and web delivery.
Photoreal, walkable scenes through Lixel CyberColor for digital twins, virtual production and client presentations.
XGRIDS validated the L3 with 7 production units running 20 independent scans of a 507 m² office floor, with long corridors, separate rooms and a stairwell. Target distances were checked against a Leica TS60 total station, with no ground control points used in processing.
Results from XGRIDS' Lixel L3 Point Cloud Accuracy Validation white paper (v1.0, September 2026). Accuracy on your site depends on geometry, scan path and conditions. Download the white paper (PDF)
A 4.3-inch, 1,000-nit display on the scanner shows the live trajectory, coverage and a model preview. The scan assistance system flags problems while you capture, so there is no return trip to fill a gap.
The multi-frequency GNSS receiver is built into the housing and tracks GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, QZSS, IRNSS and SBAS. Capture georeferenced data without an add-on module, or correct the trajectory afterward with PPK.
Three cameras with a large 1/1.3-inch sensor and DCG HDR hold detail in low light and in scenes with bright windows and dark interiors. That color carries into the point cloud and makes 3DGS output look like the real place.
Relative accuracy in a 500 m² test environment. Absolute accuracy and repeatability assume open sky, no multipath and good satellite geometry.
Both models share the same range, cameras, RTK and accuracy. The only difference is LiDAR density.

The L3 is more accurate (validated 5 mm relative), has built-in RTK, larger-sensor HDR cameras and an onboard display. The L2 Pro remains the choice when you need range beyond 120 m.
Not for relative accuracy. The 5 mm validation was processed with no GCPs. For deliverables tied to a coordinate system, use the built-in RTK in open sky, or add control points with the survey-pole mount where you need extra confidence.
Yes. The L3 exports RCP for Autodesk ReCap, along with E57 and LAS, so point clouds load into Revit, Civil 3D and most survey and BIM software without a conversion step.
Up to 100 minutes of operating time per battery. With 1 TB of onboard storage, you can capture several days of work before offloading.
The L3 is rated IP54, which covers dust and splashing water. It is not designed for steady rain.
Yes. AGS GIS provides onboarding, workflow training and ongoing support for every scanner we sell. Ask us about rental availability if you want to run the L3 on a live project first.
