Eos Positioning Systems recently announced their latest innovation in GNSS technology: the Skadi RTK receivers.
The Skadi are designed for demanding professionals who require unparalleled precision and reliability, Skadi delivers centimeter-level accuracy in real-time, enabling seamless data collection even in the most challenging environments.
Even in areas with poor cellular coverage and physical obstructions, the Skadi Gold retains its accuracy thanks to our SafeRTK® feature. The Skadi Gold GNSS receiver includes an integrated antenna and hot-swap, all-day battery.
Supports a variety of Differential Correction Sources
RTK Network & Base Station
The Skadi Gold provides an average 1cm horizontal accuracy and 2cm vertical accuracy with any RTK network or local base station. Moreover, if you temporarily lose connectivity to your corrections source, SafeRTK® will kickstart and retain your corrected accuracy level, providing time to regain connectivity.
Galileo HAS
If there is no RTK network or base station available, the Skadi Gold can provide 10-20 cm (around 6 inches) horizontal accuracy using the free Galileo High Accuracy Service anywhere in the world.
Atlas Service
If Galileo HAS is not accurate enough, you can use the Skadi Gold with an Atlas subscription service, available from Eos.
Compatible subscriptions are H10 (4 cm), H30 (15 cm) and Basic H50 (30 cm).
Skadi’s New & Exciting Features
To boost your productivity, take advantage of Skadi Tilt Compensation™ and collect points without “bubbling up” your survey range pole. Moreover, the Skadi Standard Handle™ can be upgraded to the Skadi Smart Handle™ for even more robust productivity and safety features, including the Invisible Range Pole™ for continuous elevations to the ground and the Extensible Virtual Range Pole™ for remotely capturing short-distance assets on the ground and in trenches.

Skadi Tilt Compensation
No More Leveling Your Survey Range Pole! Skadi Tilt Compensation™ is the first tilt compensation solution available specifically for the GIS market. With this solution activated, field workers can trust their Skadi Series™ GNSS receiver to rectify errors introduced from tilted angles during data collection with a survey range pole.
This extremely accurate feature introduces only about 0.3 millimeters (0.01 inches) of inaccuracy per degree of tilt. It is recommended for crews who use range poles, require centimeter-level (RTK) accuracy, and want to eliminate time spent leveling their poles on each point.

Skadi Smart Handle
Make Your RTK-Enabled Skadi Series™ GNSS Receiver Even More Productive In addition to supporting the new Tilt Compensation technology, the Skadi RTK receivers can be used with the new Smart Handle. The Smart Handle uses very accurate LiDAR and MEMS sensor measurements, which enables two core features:
- -Invisible Range Pole
- -Extensible Virtual Range Pole
The Invisible Range Pole is designed to continuously measure the unit’s height above the ground elevation, which allows users to record accurate XYZ (latitude, longitude, and vertical data), even in a handheld configuration. It does this with a gimbal technology that acts like a plumb, so that your receiver always computes its elevation to the ground, regardless of its attitude (angle toward the ground).

This allows users to work more efficiently as they can leave the bulky and cumbersome range pole back at the office while recording survey-grade (RTK) field data from the palm of their hands.

The Tilt Compensation & Eos Smart Handle are available as an optional upgrade for the:
