The newest High-Accuracy GNSS receivers from Eos Positioning Systems.
The Skadi Series™ GNSS receivers are putting the power of RTK In Your Hand™ through uniquely new, patented features, which maximize field productivity, safety, and flexibility during high-accuracy data collection
Anatum is a proud Eos Positioning Systems (Eos) reseller and as such is excited about this brand-new product line: the Skadi Series. Eos, the award-winning manufacturer of global navigational satellite systems (GNSS), just announced a suite of high-accuracy GNSS receivers that will dramatically enhance field crews’ productivity, safety, and flexibility through cutting-edge, patented features.
- Skadi 100 GNSS
- Skadi 200 GNSS/RTK
- Skadi 300 GNSS/RTK
- Skadi Gold GNSS/RTK
Similar to the renowned Arrow series, the Skadi are high-accuracy Bluetooth-agnostic receivers that will pair with your phone or tablet, improving the accuracy of that device and thus the accuracy of your mobile mapping applications. They are compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows Mobile, and do not require service subscriptions or proprietary mapping software. They integrate seamlessly with the technology that you already carry around daily and the mapping applications and geospatial software your organization already relies on.
With the new Skadi line, comes exciting and exclusive new technology.
Skadi Tilt Compensation™ Allows a user to capture precision data without needing to bubble-level their survey range pole. With Skadi Tilt Compensation activated on an RTK-enabled Skadi Series receiver, the user can rely on their receiver to rectify errors introduced from tilted range pole angles during data collection. Greatly speeding up efficiency in the field!
Skadi Smart Handle™ Powered by very accurate LiDAR and MEMS sensors, the new Smart Handle introduces two additional features.
Invisible Range Pole™ which provides continuous elevation-to-the-ground measurements below the hand-held Skadi receiver. With the Invisible Range Pole, the receiver always computes accurate elevation to the ground, regardless of the receiver’s attitude (angle toward the ground). Eliminating the need to carry a physical range pole, and the requirement to set an antenna height while performing RTK-level accurate field work.
Extensible Virtual Range Pole™ extends the reach of the user’s Invisible Range Pole beyond the position they physically occupy. The Extensible Virtual Range Pole enables the user to measure the location of assets located on the ground or in trenches up to seven meters (~23 feet) away while retaining high accuracy.
The Skadi Series receivers have an integrated antenna and hot-swappable batteries and can provide accuracies ranging from real-time submeter to centimeter. The RTK models (Skadi 200, Skadi 300, and Skadi Gold) can be purchased with the Skadi Tilt Compensation and Skadi Smart Handle.
Eos Chief Technology Officer (CTO) Jean-Yves Lauture: “Our goal is always to make the user’s job easier and more efficient while providing them the same high-performance GNSS accuracy in the field”. As such, “We are excited to introduce these features to the GIS market and help our customers achieve even further safety, productivity, and GNSS performance in the field.”
As Eos premiere Eos dealer, Anatum GeoMobile Solutions is very excited about the new Skadi lineup and how they can further benefit our existing (and future) customers and clients with their precision data collection needs.
At Anatum we’re always happy to help and answer any questions you may have regarding the new Skadi receivers or how you can exceed your high-accuracy mapping needs.
