If you purchase ANATUM's field iPad solution, you will be able to call us for questions and help about your iPad, GPS, and accessories for as long as you own the unit. We can help you trouble shoot problems with your iPad and accessories, and if we can't solve a problem for you, we will contact our equipment reps directly to get you the answer you need.
"I want my iPad to have cellular service, does Anatum do that?"
We will put your iPad kit together and ship it to you. Once your iPad arrives, you can call your cellular provider and activate the iPad and have it added to your existing cellular service account.
"I just want my iPad to have wi-fi, I don't need cellular service."
That is fine, we can create a custom quote for your desired wi-fi only iPad. But keep in mind, being without cell service for conducting field work does limit how useful your field iPad solution can be depending on your Mobile GIS data collection app. It is immensely beneficial to have cellular service attached to your iPad, especially if your GIS app solution works better when it can interact with your server or cloud database. Cellular service on the iPad is also very beneficial for those using an RTK solution for their GPS as cellular service is required to receive RTK corrections from your base station or RTK network. If cellular service is too much of a hassle for you, then we can supply rental units with our Verizon service included.
