More Satellites!
For the first few months of 2017, we have been watching the number of available Galileo satellites over North America grow. Now, on any given day, the Arrow Gold we demo with will track 4-6 Galileo satellites and use 2 or 3 for positioning. It has been very exciting to see as the number of satellites in the Galileo constellation continue to grow. The number of operational Galileo satellites is expected to nearly double by the end of 2017 with the complete deployment of 30 operational satellites in 2020. Now for the more exciting news, the submeter Arrow 100 GNSS has the ability to track and use all four available constellations simultaneously! No upgrade cost required!
This is amazing for the future capabilities of working in rugged conditions with a large number of available satellites. Right now, Eos has a firmware update for the Arrow 100 for Windows, but the iOS firmware update is not available yet but coming soon.
