Eos Arrow 100 GNSS

These antennas are pretty slick. Slightly better accuracy than other external receivers in this price range (many days I get better than 1.5' accuracy in the open). Hangs on to a signal very well. Smooth workflow with ESRI Collector on my Android, and if you get a backpack with it, it gives you a place to carry your lunch, water and mount the antenna over your head. Collector is significantly easier to learn for occasional users than ArcPad on a Trimble ever was (and the real-time accuracy is better).

We use the Arrow 100 for gopher tortoise burrow surveys and vegetative monitoring associated with Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission permit conditions. The Arrow is exactly the kind of low profile, rugged, and accurate receive we need for this type of work. It has performed exactly as advertised thus far.

I purchased this unit to satisfy the need for the most accurate GPS unit outside of cellular data service with a high amount of tree canopy obstruction. I used it last week to record individual tree locations in the forest and the unit exceeded my expectations. Bluetooth pairing was seamless, the EOS app is very easy to use and integrates easily with ESRI Collector. It can be a challenge to take multiple points <20’ way from each other under tree canopy, but the Arrow 100 collected points that reflected what was observed on the ground. I have used other brands of high grade GPSs for years, and this is the best I have ever used. I would highly recommend this EOS product as well as purchasing it from Anatum who were very helpful and knowledgeable when I was considering the purchase and walked me through the setup once I received the unit and have been responsive with my questions.

Used to map new main water line installation. Great accuracy and easy to setup and use. Look forward to using for many more projects. High accuracy improves our ability to locate valves and buried lines which will decrease our ground disturbance if future repairs are required.

The EOS Arrow 100 is snap to connect to a tablet with the EOS Tools Pro app. We are very satisfied with the positional accuracy and precision. Also the interface is very user friendly.

Recently started using the Arrow 100 GNSS with our IPADs for Collector and other apps. The setup was simple and we have seen incredible improvements in accuracy.

The Arrow has made field work much easier and more accurate. Our team can now easily collect soil boring and monitoring well locations fast. Walking to previous points is a breeze. It is easy to transfer points we collected in the field right into figures when we get back to the office. We also love being able to see where we are on Site in real time.

The Eos Arrow is a great tool for collecting stream habitat data throughout the urban and rural watersheds in the Puget Sound region. It pairs perfectly with collector and eliminates the need for data entry. Anatum was very helpful during my pre-purchase research and shipped the product within a day or two. Works great with ArcGIS Collector. Bluetooth connects quickly and acquires position quickly after being turned on. Accuracy reading is more realistic than some competitors.

This has been are great receiver for our field work, both in remote locations and in urban environments. Very simple to use, good battery life. Wish they could do away with the cable to the antenna, the Bluetooth to the tablet is great.

Awesome Bluetooth GPS device. Works wonders with Collector and and Fulcrum. Picks up multiple satellite navigation systems and holds a steady sub-meter in canopy. Battery life is great as well. As long as you are careful with the SMA cables (connection between receiver and antenna) you will have no regrets.

I recently purchased an Arrow 100 and am using it for wetland delineations with an iPad Mini 4 as the data collector, and GIS Kit as the data collection app. I was replacing an old 2005 Trimble GeoXT that I had used for years. The accuracy of the Arrow 100 is extremely good, the real-time horizontal accuracy has been under 0.5 meters most of the time I've been using it, and frequently below 0.3 meters. It gets amazing satellite reception under tree canopy where my Trimble never worked. The bluetooth connection with the iPad has worked flawlessly, and the Arrow 100 simply replaces the built-in GPS antennae in the iPad for all apps that use GPS. The battery life of the Arrow 100 receiver is at least 10 hours (the most I've used it in a day, and it still wasn't dead), although the battery life of the iPad (or any tablet/phone) is greatly reduced when you are using the GPS for constant surveying. My fully charged iPad will only go about 3 hours without a charge if I am surveying non-stop, but I am charging it in my truck in between sites and turning off bluetooth when I'm not using the GPS, and have been able to squeak out full days of work with it. I also have an external battery and an iPhone with the GIS Kit app as a backup. The only downside I see of this type of setup is that instead of one compact handheld unit, you have three parts (antennae, receiver, data collector) that you have to manage, including a cable connection between the antennae and receiver. I have customized an old Camelback pack for the antennae rod and the receiver, which keeps the cable all tucked away in the pack, which takes care of the cable getting caught on vegetation. In my opinion, being able to use the larger (yet lighter) tablet screen for the data collector is worth the hassle of the three separate parts, and being able to have the antennae higher up over your head certainly keeps your body from blocking some satellites like with a handheld. I am 100% satisfied with my Arrow 100, and would not hesitate to recommend it to any of my colleagues.
